Our Story

Climate Sirens was born out of collective rage, a response to the systemic exclusion of SWANA young women from climate decision-making spaces, despite being Indigenous to our lands and on the frontlines of environmental injustice. What began as resistance has grown into a bold, transnational movement reclaiming voice, power, and narrative.

Our Leadership

Our leadership is rooted in feminist, decolonial principles. We reject hierarchical models in favor of a participatory, collective approach where power is shared, not concentrated. At Climate Sirens, everyone is a leader, we operate as co-leaders, co-creators, and co-dreamers, building together with intention, care, and accountability.

Our Approach

At Climate Sirens, we focus on three interconnected pillars to drive climate justice and sustainable development.

Community Power & Wellbeing

We nurture collective strength through women-led cooperatives and healing circles. From creating natural beauty products to facilitating trauma-informed gatherings for women and gender-diverse people living through climate crisis, displacement, and systemic violence, we root economic opportunity in collective care.

Technology & Innovation

We equip young women with the tools and knowledge to lead through digital training programs. Our Training of Trainers programs have equipped 250+ participants with practical skills in climate response, digital safety, and crisis preparedness building a growing network of community leaders across the region.

Justice & Advocacy

We challenge exclusionary systems by bringing feminist, Indigenous, and frontline SWANA voices into global spaces. Our work spans reproductive justice, climate sovereignty, mental health, food and cultural sovereignty, connecting movements across borders through solidarity and liberation-centered organizing.

Our Work is Essential

The climate crisis disproportionately impacts regions burdened by historical injustices, with young women from the SWANA region facing compounded vulnerabilities. Climate Sirens addresses this imbalance by integrating indigenous knowledge, leveraging AI and technology, and amplifying marginalized voices.

By advocating for systemic change and creating pathways for equitable solutions, we ensure that the leadership and resilience of young women drive transformative action in the face of the climate crisis.

Our Impact

Climate Sirens integrates economic opportunity, technology and innovation to deliver a holistic approach to addressing the climate crisis while supporting marginalized communities in the SWANA region.

Through our work, we build resilient communities, advance sustainable practices, and uplift young women to lead transformative climate action.
